Entrepreneurship means starting up new companies; either your own or that of a small business owner. Managerial skills are important for the successful performance and growth of a new venture. Entrepreneurs need to become aware of legal, financial, and organizational issues and opportunities when developing successful businesses.

What do Medical Administrative Assistants do?

Medical administrative assistants organize office activities and provide support to physicians and other medical staff. They’re responsible for everything from transcribing dictation and assisting physicians with speeches, to answering the phone and patient scheduling. They must also be familiar with insurance guidelines, billing, and hospital and laboratory policies and guidelines.

Associate of Science Degree in Medical Billing and Coding
This program provides students with a solid foundation in the critical skills needed in healthcare billing and coding practices, and the technologies that support them. Successful graduates will be well-prepared to enter the healthcare field as billing and coding specialists.



Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice/Homeland Security
The Associate of Science degree with a major in Criminal Justice/Homeland Security covers traditional criminal justice topics, such as criminal law enforcement, investigation, the American court system, corrections, and security, as well as homeland security and terrorism, computer-based crime, human relations skills and criminal psychology. This program does not meet the requirements of a training academy or a training program, but is designed to provide an education that is practical and relevant to careers in criminal justice. Associate of Science Degree in Business Management

The successful graduate will have a valuable level of business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit, financial skills, marketing proficiency, and interpersonal abilities.

Associate of Science Degree in Medical Adminstrative Assistant
The Medical Administrative Assistant Program will prepare students for work in the pre-hospital and hospital environments, physicians' offices, urgent care facilities, and nursing homes. Graduates will be prepared to perform traditional medical administrative responsibilities, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, filing records, purchasing supplies and equipment, patient admissions, and insurance billing and coding.
