Nail Technology

GENERAL PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
The Nail Technology student participates in a full program of nail beautification and artistry, which prepares the student for entry-level employment in the field of nail technology. The student receives instruction and gains practice in all phases of nail artistry including: nail structure, manicuring, pedicuring, and chemicals and products used in the profession. The curriculum also includes business and client development and the rules and laws essential for the Nail Specialist. The graduate can demonstrate communication skills and can apply professional and appropriate ethics to all areas of the job. The Board of Cosmetology requires a nail specialty registration after graduation. A Certificate is awarded to a student upon successful completion of all graduation requirements listed in the catalog.

GENERAL PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The Nail Technology program consists of 240 contact hours and 12 credit hours of instruction. A Certificate is awarded to a student upon successful completion of all graduation requirements listed in the catalog.
